dspstak™ DSP Engines and I/O Modules

Introducing the new dspstak™ DSP Engines and I/O Modules that feature Analog Devices' third generation of SHARC DSPs. Each dspstak™ consists of two or more modules: a DSP engine and signal conditioning / data conversion I/O Module(s). Since a dspstak™ I/O module is separate from the DSP module, custom interfaces can be created quickly and inexpensively.

Software development is easy with the dspstak. In addition to software examples, each dspstak family has a dspstak DSP Engine with ICE version. The ICE versions include a licensed version of the Analog Devices' EZ-Kit debugger. It is supported by both the KIT (free version) and full versions of Visual DSP++.

dspblok™ DSP Function Modules

Danville's dspblok™ DSP Function Modules are highly integrated DSP cores that are easy to incorporate into embedded applications. Each dspblok includes a DSP, flash, eeprom and switching power supplies for the core power supply. A dspblok may also include a user programmable FPGA.

Our most popular dspblok DSP Modules are based the Analog Devices ADSP-21369 SHARC DSP. We have versions of this module that also include an Altera Cyclone III FPGA. Blackfin versions will also be available in late 2008.

The dspblok family has been extended to include I/O and power supply modules. You can now create complete systems with dspbloks. The small size (60mm x 60mm) allows these systems to fit in spaces where a powerful COTS DSP solution was not feasible. 

Earlier dspblok DSP modules include the dspblok 21161, dspblok 21261zx, dspblok 21262zx and dspblok 21262sx. Contact us if you have a need for one of these earlier products.

The DSP Instrument Family

The DSP-based Instrument Family offers a general DSP instrument with two audio channels, digital I/O and an RS-232 and USB interface.

It is well suited for small quality control systems and test cells, automatic level controls, audio limiters, signal splitters and test generators. more >>

ADSP-218x Products

The DSP-8300 DSP Function Module was designed to solve a wide array of signal processing applications with a simple solution. The product is programmable and reprogrammable without the need for special hardware.

Even though the DSP-8300 is only the size of a credit card, it is capable of up to 50 million operations per second. The DSP-8300 is easily incorporated into an existing product or integrated as a subcomponent into a larger design. more >>

Analog Devices Development Tools

Danville is now an authorized reseller for Analog Devices' development tools.

These include Visual DSP++, EZ-Kits and Emulators for the SHARC, Blackfin and ADSP-21xx DSP families. We have added the development tools to our product line so that Danville can be a one-stop shop for our dspstak and dspblok customers, but you don't have to be a dspblok or dspstak customer to purchase your ADI development tools from us. Air Traffic Control Products

The DSP-8200 Card Cage Family consists of a 5-1/4 x 19 inch rack mounted card cage chassis, 12 plug-in DSP modules, a Control Module, and two redundant Power Supply modules. Each DSP module has two independent audio channels.

The DSP-8200d Tone Suppression and Noise Reduction System is in this product line. This system is also available in a ground-to-ground tone suppression mode to support the challenges unique to these circuits. more >>
