dspFlash™ 2.0 - Blackfin & Sharc Programmer
The dspFlash SHARC & Blackfin Programmer 2.0 is here. This upgrade expands upon the previous functionality of the dspFlash with new features.
- Batch Processing
This allows programming of multiple files in a single pass. You can program a DSP applicaiton, a FPGA configuration, and a coeffecient file with a single click.
- Multiple Programmer Support
This allows a user to operate multiple dspFlashes in parallel from a single workstation to improve throughput and reduce idle time.
- Now Even Faster
The first dspFlash was an average of 9 times faster than VisualDSP++ and an ADI ICE, now it is more than twice that fast!
dspFlash Deluxe
We have also unveiled the dspFlash Deluxe which expands the functionality of the basic dspFlash programmer. With double the internal SDRAM of the dspFlash basic model, it is capable of programming larger files up to 128 Mbits. It also adds a new test feature which can ring out key components of the production board either before or after flash programming.
Using C-Style scripts it is possible to interact with the data registers of the board under test which allows you to execute multiple tests in a single pass and also to accomplish tasks like programming the OTP of the newest generations of Blackfins.
Check out the dspFlash web page for more details. You can even download the dspFlash Windows application and operate it in demo mode to get a better feel for how it all works.
The dspFlash Programmer is $500. The Deluxe version is $750.
