dspstak 21369+fpga Family -- Analog Devices ADSP-21369 SHARC & Altera Cyclone III FPGA DSP Boards

The dspstak™ 21369+fpga family of DSP boards are high performance digital signal processing engines based on Analog Devices newest third generation ADSP-21369 SHARC® DSP and Altera's Cyclone III FPGA. This SHARC supports 32 bit fixed point and 32/40 bit floating point formats with SIMD instructions running at up to 400 MHz. This translates to a peak computation rate of 2.4 GFLOPS.

There are two members of this family. Each board uses a 400MHz ADSP-21369 and include a 128Mb SDRAM, flash and eprom memory, programmable clocks, USB and RS-232.

The ADSP-21369 has very flexible peripherals including up to eight independent serial ports (SPORTs), two SPI ports, TWI (I2C), and two UARTs. The dspstak™ Interconnect Port supports the complete DAI interface, SPI, general I/O, clocks and power connections.

The Cyclone III FPGA connects to all the DAI pins of the ADSP-21369. This connection allows the FPGA to interface to external I/O devices such as our dspstak a9238 and a9248 High Speed ADC I/O cards. This allows the FPGA to be used as the front end of a SDR for digital downsampling or other high speed algorithm acceleration.

The USB interface (full speed) acts like a very fast RS-232 interface. There is driver support for most popular OS's including Windows, Linux and Mac. You can use a simple terminal program to communicate with the dspstak 21369+fpga including uploading application code to flash.

Options and Accessories:

dspstak DSP/FPGA JTAG Adapter

The Danville DSP/FPGA JTAG Adapter expands the Danville JTAG header for boards that include an Analog Devices DSP and an Altera FPGA. It is not compatible with the Danville DSP JTAG Adapter. The breakout connectors are a 14 pin Analog Devices JTAG Header and a 10 pin Altera USBBlaster Header.
